Jerry Beatty
Jerry has been involved in theater his whole life. For his M.F.A. degree in theater directing he stage managed “Long Day’s Journey into Night”, which starred the late Helen Hayes in her final live theater production. For the U.S. Army’s theater program, he founded and directed the Stable Theatre in Bamberg (1985-1996) and designed and directed the Amelia Earhart Playhouse in Wiesbaden (1996-2002). He was the USO Director for the Rhein-Main Area (2002-2004) and is running his own business since 2004: BUBBLES OH LA LA!
The list of over 150 comedies, dramas, farces and musicals Jerry directed includes “Cabaret”, “Anything Goes”, “Dracula”, “Fools”, “Little Me”, and “Sweeney Todd”. He received numerous European Topper Awards in the categories of “Best Director”, “Best Sound Design” and “Best Show” and won “Best Army Theater/Entertainment Program in the World” in 2000 with the Amelia Earhart Playhouse.
Jerry appeared on the KRT stage as Aladdin, Hamlet, and the infamous Emperor Ping the Pitiless of Pongo (as well as Sorcerer Singh the Sinister of Singhi).
